One-of-a-kind custom vehicle manufacturer ECD Automotive Design is at it again, announcing it will now offer the classic Jaguar E-Type in addition to unique Land Rover Defenders and Range Rovers. With the option to choose a Tesla motor and battery, these electric Jaguar E-Types are now available to order.

Lightning eMotors, a specialist in purpose-built commercial EVs and electric conversions, has announced a new agreement with General Motors (GM). Under the terms of the new agreement, Lightning eMotors becomes the first GM Specialty Vehicle Manufacturer (SVM) to develop 100% electric Class 3 through 6 commercial vehicles.

Classic EV developer Zero Labs Automotive has shared new details of its third-generation EV platform, on which its vehicle conversions will now sit. With close to 2,000 proprietary upgrades compared to its previous platform, Zero Labs has begun to deliver new EV versions of classic ICE vehicles to customers, and has shared further details about its future plans.

African electric mobility company Opibus announced today that it has closed on a round of equity and grant fundraising totaling $7.5 million. According to the company, this the largest sum of money raised by an electric mobility company in all of Sub-Saharan Africa, eclipsing the previous by $4 million. Opibus now looks to use this investment money to continue to scale its operations in electric motorcycle and bus manufacturing in Africa.

UK-based vehicle restoration specialist Everrati Automotive has shared its latest electric vehicle conversion, this time in the 1960s-era Land Rover Series IIA SUV. Everrati has begun pre-orders as this Land Rover model finds a second life as an electric vehicle, and joins a growing list of other electrified classics from the company.

AC Cars, one of the oldest independent automakers out of the UK, is on the verge of delivering the first electric version of its classic Series 1 Cobra to customers. The AC Cobra was a legendary two-seater sports car in the 1960s that has found new life with an electric powertrain. AC Cars has now combined its famed history with its future, as the next chapter goes electric for the renowned marque.

Rolls-Royce has yet to go electric, but a company is now bringing to production electric classic Rolls-Royce Phantoms and Silver Clouds starting at $450,000.

A 1968 Porsche 911 converted to electric power with a Tesla drivetrain is up for grabs in a new sweepstakes for the benefit of the Petersen Automotive Museum.
